Cinematic masterpieces produced here include Pharaoh (Faraon) directed by Jerzy Kawalerowicz, The Promised Land (Ziemia obiecana) directed by Andrzej Wajda, Juliusz Machulski’s Sexmission (Seksmisja) and Jerzy Hoffman’s The Deluge (Potop).
